A Girl's Eerie Experiences on the Grave Shift

The haunted store

Working the grave shift has its advantages and disadvantages, but overall, I am in love with the graveyard shift. There are so many more things that you can learn when you are working at night than in the daytime. I have only had about two friends work at this location, and both of them moved on from it. I live down the street, so it is easy for me to get here. I had never worked at a store before, so I wanted to give it a shot. Management used to have a store clerk who worked here, but due to a robbery three months ago, he is no longer with us. They say he haunts the store to protect it, but I am not sure. I have a hard time with spirits and all of that stuff. I guess I never really believed in it until Friday night rolled around.

I was getting ready to close up like I did the night before when a masked gunman came rushing in. I had a lot of thoughts going through my head as I stood there motionless with my hands in the air. He pointed the gun at me and asked for all the money out of the register, but I had no money to give. He was getting angry and told me he would shoot me if I didn't give him what he wanted. I just stood there, trying to explain and apologize to him with all of my being, until the lights went out.

There was a lot of rambling as if someone else was in the store, and then the man yelled. The lights flickered back on, and all I could see was a blonde-haired boy holding the masked gunman by his neck like he was choking the life out of him. He turned to me and nodded his head. I saw the wound in his chest and the name tag that said "William." The lights went out again, and all I could see was the masked man lying there on the floor, and William was gone.

I couldn't explain what I saw to the officers; all I can say is that I am forever grateful for being able to walk out alive. I saw them bring the masked guy out in a body bag before I was told that I could leave and go home.

I had to quit my grave shift and go work at another location due to the store being shut down. This location is known for robberies, and the main owner passed away two years ago. He left the store to his oldest son, Pablo, but he moved to Japan last summer. They were able to contact him, and he decided to close down and sell the location.

He can finally rest in peace.
